2012 Middle East Challenge

I have decided to join the 2012 Middle East Reading Challenge. With this year being a presidential election year, discussion about how to handle the problems in the middle east will be prevalent. It's a good time to find out how people in that area live. I am looking forward to settling down in my easy chair with a few memoirs.

For purposes of the challenge, the Middle East is defined as including only the countries around the Arabian peninsula. However Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco have been added because of all the recent news reports about them. The challenge runs all year and to qualify, a book must be written by someone from the countries. There are no levels of participation. Whew! If you would like to join me in the challenge, you can sign up here. There will be a link for the reviews also.
